Samenvatting
The investigations conducted so far on the effectiveness of reflecting devices for wildlife protection have yielded contradictory results, as regards their efficiency. A study was therefore made, which aimed at clarifying the discrepancies and, possibly, at proposing improvements for wildlife protection devices, taking particular account of specifically Austrian applications. The use of wildlife warning reflectors can be improved mainly with regard to the location and maintenance of the road sections equipped with reflectors.
