Women's transport needs in London.

This report presents information on women's attitudes towards travel on public transport, on rail, underground and bus services in London, and presents measures to encourage their use of these services, particularly at night. For British Rail services, these measures include: increased staffing of stations; improved lighting; ramps or lifts; facilities such as seating, telephones, shelter, easy interchange and improved service to minimize waiting times. For bus travel, measures include: improved siting and lighting of bus stops; seating and shelter; use of minibuses to improve a frequency of service in residential areas at night.
