Samenvatting
The fourth Memorandum on Physical Planning Extra (VINEX) by the Dutch Ministry of Housing, Physical Planning and Environment (VROM) outlines a clustering policy of residential and employment locations in urbanized areas to reduce commuter distances. This paper presents the (quantitative) results of a research, initiated by VROM, into the effects on commuter distances, one of the most striking problematic segments of mobility. The effects of a move to the new residential areas are studied. (A)
