Samenvatting
This article investigates the most determining factors of the decision-making process concerning modal choice, specifically for commuter traffic such as travel time and travel costs. It is tried to estimate the influence of differences in travel time and travel costs on the modal choice of the main mode. The output of these estimations results in the valuation of time, i.e. time savings are expressed in their corresponding monetary value.
