Samenvatting
Residential areas are designed with varying layouts in The Netherlands. It is stated that layout measures, give the residential area a quiet, safe and low traffic character, however work on the contrary speed limiting measures do not work at all. In other words residential areas are oases of green, but not of traffic safety.
