Samenvatting

Inexperienced drivers are disproportionately involved in accident. The solution to this problem seems to be straightforward. Increase driver experience, by having them drive more. But, the more these people drive the greater their exposure-to-risk. This is the young driver paradox. Two possible countermeasures, however, which appear likely to minimize the trade-offs involved, are driver education and a novel form of restricted licences.
