Samenvatting
Different methods for the acquisition of traffic data on motorways are compared. A direct transmission of detector-exit signals gives a very great information flow, by an optimal encoding can this be decreased with 10%. On the other hand information reducing encoding methods, at which already on the information-spot from the data statistical magnitudes can be derived, lead to a significant lesser information flow.
