Samenvatting
For the use of cycle tracks on the left side of the road, with the other traffic in the opposite direction, cyclists have a high risk for an accident, in particular on junctions. Often the layout of such cycle tracks is not in such a way that the safety for cyclists is guaranteed. The German traffic regulations should be modified in such a way that the use of these cycle tracks should be made more safe for instance by carriageway markings, traffic signs and a better layout in particular at junctions.
