Samenvatting
The conservative treatment of fractures of the tibia and fibula gives good results. For surgical treatment at least equivalent or even better results is expected. The combination of the percutaneous circumferential wires at the intramedullary nail fulfills this requirement. This markedly increases the indication for the surgical approach in rotation fractures.
