Samenvatting
This work tends to give a view to all aspects of capacity in the field of transportation, also in networks. First of all the actual state of knowledge on capacity in road traffic (lanes and intersections), rail traffic (railroads and nodes) and air traffic (runways) is presented. For the road traffic, different traffic flow models and the concept of the levels of service, which is related to traffic density, are shown. (A)
