Samenvatting
In an experimental test human torsos were impacted with a catapult. For the supplement and support of the test results a mathematical simulation model for head-neck movements is developed. In this test the typical injuries due to whiplash are demonstrated as well for retroflexion as anteflexion. It is shown that for both directions of impact the principal results of motion and the resulting injuries agree, when also the limits of tolerance at the anteflexion are evident higher.
