Samenvatting

Most of cities with high population are facing many types of urban crisisin the course of development and growth. Among them chronic traffic congestion has been one of the most serious issues for governments and residents for years and years. There is, however, no single panacea to the problemof traffic congestion. This paper describes some of Mitsubishi's solutions to reduce traffic congestion in Asian countries i.e, an expanded interoperable system between the electronic road pricing system and public transportation in Singapore, the step-by-step approach to upgrade to multi-lane free-flow system for heavily congested highways in Malaysia; and a countermeasure for congestion on urban road in Jakarta.
